A bad week! and It is almost over!

So much for up dating last week. It wasn't a good week.

One of our dogs, Lucy, died. I guess you need to know how we got Lucy. Tim found her at Cracker Box on 425 North, she was standing out in the middle of the parking lot. When he found her she had a purple collar on so we figured that she belong to someone, so we put her on the radio about her being found so someone would claim her. Well, no one claimed her so she became Megan's dog. She was a very cute dog, except she had a thing with barking at the ground, weird! But she was cute all the same. She wouldn't let Jake eat, so we had to separate her and Jake when they ate. They were always playing, I think we had to separate them maybe two or three times when they would actually get into a fight, but that was Jake had had enough of her pestering. So we have had her almost or right at a year.

She was just a puppy, and of course I feel like it was my fault. We have a shed/house out in our back yard and when I was out there with Tim helping him find something (the place needs to be cleaned out, I'm just sayin) I seen a rat, not a mouse but a rat! Scared the crap out of me, dang I screamed and Tim just laughed at me, ok, so I had some rat poison in the house and decided to put it in the shed not thinking about when the rats would die and where they would go. The poison makes the rat/mouse go to water before they die. Well, Lucy found one of the rats and ate it, well the poison was in the rat and it affected Lucy just like the rat. Tim was at home, but didn't know what was wrong with her, if he had know she ate a poisoned rat he could have gotten her to the vet and got a vitamin K shot, and it probably would have saved her, but he didn't know until late Monday afternoon when it was too late to help her, I could cry right now from the thought of it, that we let that poor puppy suffer. I sat outside with her until 11:00pm, but had to go in cause I had work the next morning, I didn't want to leave her alone, but didn't have a choice. Jake, our other dog was laying by her in the morning, you could tell he was sad and didn't know why she wouldn't play with him. It was so sad and tearing up just thinking about it. Tim laid her to rest by our other two dogs out by our swing, this way we are close to our pets when we are outside, and it is peaceful to be out by them. Lewy (poodle) passed way about seven years ago, we got him in 1995, and Duchess (chocolate lab) passed away two years ago in June of 2008 and we got her in December of 1997.

Ok, lets get on a happier note....We got another dog, yes we needed to get a playmate for Jake, he wasn't happy, so I started looking for another dog. I was going to get one from the pound, but all they had were small dogs and I wanted something about the same size as Jake or that would would get as big as Jake if it was still a puppy. I went through the paper and found some free dogs and of course called to find out about them and that is how we have come across our new dog Duke/Rex/Dude (we haven't decided on a name yet) we picked him up Friday afternoon, he has some lab in him, but not sure what else he has, but he is a cutie (didn't want another female dog, because we have to put her in an electric fence when it is her two week problem). They play cute together so we are all happy about that.

Ok, now for classes or shall we call them stresses. I think I am just a little bit STRESSED, it is getting close to the end of the semester and graduation (yes I will be walking because I graduated back in December 2009). Some classes I wish would never end because of how fun they are, and others I just can't stand, yes I know bad attitude, but I can't help it! Have a fun final for Instructional Tech. just some research for a power point. The main class that I am stressing about is Survey of Math, I have a test in there tomorrow, and need to study it like it was the last thing I need to know!

SO LET THE STRESSING BEGIN!

Looking back at a good week

Well, time is just slippin away! Seems like everything is flying by like it doesn't plan on stopping, not even for the turtle crossing the road (just duck and pull everything in).

This past week has been a busy week! Don't know when it will stop, maybe in a few years! Working and going to school I think it just might, well I don't want to say it is going to kill me, but it might maim. ha ha, just kiddin, but I sure feel worn out.

Loving the weather, and the fishing! Just wish I had more time to go fishing, seems like my weekends don't have enough hours in the day to go. We cooked fish twice so far, the first time Tim messed up and turned the heat down on the fish fryer, but when we cooked it Friday, boy was it good. Cooked some crappie & catfish with the hush puppies and french fries! YUMMY! With blackberry cobbler with ice cream for dessert.

Getting class schedules figured out, looks like I will be taking a class Summer I, which will have me coming in at 6:45am instead of 7:45am to work to cover at least one hour of the three that I will be out of the office in the afternoon, class is from 1-4 M-TH with no class on Friday! Summer hours are, for those that aren't taking a class, 7:45am to 5:00pm and Fridays from 7:45am to 12:45pm. If you look at it, it will be a looonnnngggg day for me!

Classes are going good, or a least keeping me busy! Girls have bench mark this week, GO GIRLS, YOU CAN DO IT! I know they will do well on the tests (at least I think they will).

My family out west is doing good, wish I lived nearer to them so I could spend more time with them, nieces & nephews are growing up tooo fast!

Ok, that was last week, now for a new week and new adventures!

What a weekend/week!

Miss me??? Wow, I didn't realize how hard it is to get on the computer and blog...

Last week in class we had a special speaker, I say special because she is special to me! Ms. Paula Reaves is like a second mom to me. I worked with her husband Jackie for three years, one of most favorite bosses/supervisors that I have ever had!!!!! He passed away on May 21, 2003, it was a very hard day for me when he passed away, cause he was like a dad to me, and everyone in our department loved him. Ok, back to Ms. Paula, she showed us some awesome things on the Library web page, wish I would have know about it when I did all my papers.

Ok, so we went fishing Friday afternoon, only caught two crappie, and caught more on Saturday morning. When we got home Tim cleaned the fish and I put them up to cook on Sunday afternoon. Watch LDS General Conference, really enjoyed the speakers. Watched 3 out of the 4 sessions. I guess I will have to update a little late tonight or tomorrow.

Happy Spring Break

Well, I should have posted before now, but IT'S SPRING BREAK and lovin it! Worked Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday until 1:30 then went fishing with the family....LOTS OF FUN! We didn't catch anything but the girls were in a good mood, and that made it so much fun.

Tim & I spent the day together out riding around while the girls cleaned the house, they didn't want to be stuck in the truck while we road around.

Have to go by the college and pick up a letter to put in my portfolio for class and finish a few more things that need to go in it, then I should be ready for Monday to turn in.

Wow, I love/hate this time of the year. Woke up feeling the pollen, sure hate that feeling, was planning on helping Tim with a couple of yards but head feels like it is about to pop off.

My announcements for graduation came in this week, need to get them sent out West for family. I don't think any one will be coming out. Mom hurt her shoulder back in January so her and dad won't be coming plus I have a niece & nephew graduating from high school. Oh well that's what you get when you live so far away from everyone.

Well, I will post some more on Sunday and hopefully put some pics of the girls on here.

Peace Out!

Ahhhhh

Looking so forward to spring break, but before we discuss spring break we need to catch up on this past weeks events.

I think my girls are growing too fast! Ashley decided that she was going to wear my shoes to school just because they fit her, changed that plan for her real fast! Katie & Megan are also to big for their britches, they think they are "ALL THAT", but we love them all the same! Megan thinks she is old enough to wear make-up, NOT! I think I need to lock up my make-up because she is always getting into it.

Classes are going good, had a graphic organizer to do for Educational Tech, sure hope I did it right, maybe I will be one of the first present it, guess we will see tomorrow night. Other classes are going good, have a test on Wednesday, so some major studying needs to be going on.

Nothing like having a child tell you how to type! (Ashley) Megan is driving me nuts too! Have no idea where Katie is but she is not bothering me until now! And we can't forget my baby Camie always under my feet when on the computer!

Time....

I am thinking that time is flying by and I am being left behind.

Had another busy week at work, to many name badges that have to be made by a certain date... I am really starting to hate making signs, sad part is it isn't even in my job description. Ok enough about work.

Doing a graphic organizer for my Ed Tech class, not sure how to get started, but I have looked at a lot of technology for people who need it for their disabilities. My other classes are going ok, still wondering what I need to do, my husband thinks that I am taking classes just to stay where I am at, but I really think I need to be getting as much background to be a teacher before I jump in head first!

So, I spent this past Saturday helping my husband get the Rose Hill church mowed and cleaned up, nothing like a job well done! Look so nice when we finished, I like that feeling of knowing I did well on something and that someone will like it as well.

Ok, so that is enough, I really don't have an exciting life, my girls have an exciting life but they are lucky, not to have the weight of the everything on their shoulders yet!

Ashley went to East conference in Hot Springs, they did an awesome job while there, so proud of her. Katie and Megan are doing well at school also. Ate lunch with both of them while Ashley was gone.

Hope I did not bore you with my not so exciting life, maybe it will get more exciting as the weeks go on.

BYE for now!

Another Week gone by....

Well, it has been a busy week, again....
Submitted my power point game on Friday, hope I did alright on it. I am kinda excited about class tomorrow night to present the game, just hope that it is what Ms. Jones wants, Julie said it was good, so I hope so.

My other classes are going good, had a test Friday in my Psychology class, and one tomorrow (Monday) in Survey of Math, I hope I do alright in there, differently need a better grade than the last time.

Hoping this week will be better then last week, Megan was sick most of the week with high fevers and a cough. The other girls haven't got sick yet (knock on wood that they don't).

This next week will be busy again, Ashley is going to Hot Springs for a East convention, she is really excited. Megan finished all her home work that her teacher sent home for her to work on. Katie keeps her homework done so she usually doesn't have homework at night.

Tim & I are doing good....wish that I could keep my mouth shut sometimes, but I still haven't learned to do so, so keep getting in trouble with that, oh well, I will probably never learn.

Hope everyone has a great week!

OOPS, My bad!

Ok, so I forgot to blog last week, and my reasoning is I guess I have been busy with work, school, and homelife.

Life is good on the home front, kids are keeping busy, Tim has had a few yards to work on, and I have been busy with everything in between.

Tim wasn't feeling to good today, hate when he doesn't feel good because he doesn't tell you what is wrong, if he isn't better tomorrow I will be taking him to the doctor.

Guess I need to get the batteries chargin for the camera so I can post some pics of the family, I see my other friends putting pics on there bloggs, they are so with it! I just can't believe how much my girls have grown, it seems like yesterday they were small, now they are getting so big.

So classes are going good, Educational Tech, I think I am doing pretty good in there (should I toot my horn??? I think I will TOOT TOOT!) Survey of Math, well that one is like algebra, will I ever use it, probably not. American National Government here goes another TOOT TOOT! Psychology, well that one is hard to say, but it is interesting to listen to Clubb talk.

Well, that is all for now, maybe I will get a wild hair and post later in the week.

WOW, it has been over a week and I haven't blogged, shame on me! I had planned on blogging earlier in the week, got busy with work, school and family.

Well, February 5th, I turned the big 42, or as Ashley would say "My mom is 40 but don't forget the 2." We had a good time on my birthday the girls were so excited about the gifts they got me that they gave them to me the day before my birthday. Megan gave me some lotion, Katie gave me a cake holder, Ashley gave me a chair for my computer desk and my husband gave me a food saver (so love using it to store pecans).

Over this past week I really have been busy with work and school. Loving some of my classes (some I am still wondering why I am taking them, but know I need them). My instructional tech class has been a lot of fun. One of the assignments was to make a game on power point, didn't think it could be done, but to my surprise, I did a game and the girls love playing it. Just hope it works like it needs too.

Tuesday had a doctor appointment in Pine Bluff, not fun, but got it over with. We pulled the girls out of school to go with so there would be no rush to get home. After the appointments we decided to go eat a Chili's, ribs are soooooo good! We then decided to go shopping for some clothes (I was told that I needed to dress nicer by a teacher & husband) so we headed to the mall in Pine Bluff, but changed our minds and decided to head to Little Rock and brave the snow that they got. I don't like shopping for things me, but I really did enjoy buying things for me.

We got home close to 9:00pm, just in time for the girls to get their baths and to bed.

The rest of the week flew by. Friday, Monticello was suppose to get some bad weather, so when I got up in the morning to check the news it showed that UAM was closed (hard to believe we never close) but it didn't show any thing about the Monticello school system, come to find out the girls had school, and of course I had to work which was not fair, but the day went by fast. I went to MIS for the girls parties then it was home to relax for a little while.

I think the girls had fun at their parties, I know they brought a lot of candy and cards home.

We went to Hot Springs on Saturday, and did some more shopping (I could get use to spoiling my self with clothes, it just wearing them and not feeling like a dork!) found some good places to shop, can't wait to go again.

Sunday has be a closet cleaning day along with homework that needs to be done. Tim just got a wild idea to measure the windows in the kitchen and laundry room, this means tearing out the frame work around the window.

Well, that is all for now, I will try to do better this week.

Another day....

Well, I am so excited about starting a blog in my Instructional Tech class. I have always wanted to start a blog, but didn't quite know what to do to start one and all the ins and outs of the workings of a blog, although I have friends that have them, they just are too far away to ask what to do.

The great thing about this blog, is I plan on keeping it up and getting the information to my family out in Utah. We don't get out there too often and miss them so much.
When I told my daughter Ashley about starting a blog she was really excited, because I want her to help me with the posts to my family. Of course I had to let her know that there would be no nose pictures, Julie Gardner (one of my bff) agreed that no nose picture need to be posted do to the graphic look.
Here are some examples of the nose shots.
Ashley Nose Shot

Katie Nose Shot

Megan Nose Shot

Ok, so now we know what it acceptable and what is not and those are definitely not (we don't like looking up the noses of children or seeing their finger there!

Hopefully this will be something fun for me and my family to keep up. Who knows maybe it will get my husband on the computer doing posts, ok I know that is pushing it but wouldn't it be fun??? And we will keep all the depressing stuff out (like bugs dying or anything like that).

Looking forward to keeping up with the blog.
