A bad week! and It is almost over!

So much for up dating last week. It wasn't a good week.

One of our dogs, Lucy, died. I guess you need to know how we got Lucy. Tim found her at Cracker Box on 425 North, she was standing out in the middle of the parking lot. When he found her she had a purple collar on so we figured that she belong to someone, so we put her on the radio about her being found so someone would claim her. Well, no one claimed her so she became Megan's dog. She was a very cute dog, except she had a thing with barking at the ground, weird! But she was cute all the same. She wouldn't let Jake eat, so we had to separate her and Jake when they ate. They were always playing, I think we had to separate them maybe two or three times when they would actually get into a fight, but that was Jake had had enough of her pestering. So we have had her almost or right at a year.

She was just a puppy, and of course I feel like it was my fault. We have a shed/house out in our back yard and when I was out there with Tim helping him find something (the place needs to be cleaned out, I'm just sayin) I seen a rat, not a mouse but a rat! Scared the crap out of me, dang I screamed and Tim just laughed at me, ok, so I had some rat poison in the house and decided to put it in the shed not thinking about when the rats would die and where they would go. The poison makes the rat/mouse go to water before they die. Well, Lucy found one of the rats and ate it, well the poison was in the rat and it affected Lucy just like the rat. Tim was at home, but didn't know what was wrong with her, if he had know she ate a poisoned rat he could have gotten her to the vet and got a vitamin K shot, and it probably would have saved her, but he didn't know until late Monday afternoon when it was too late to help her, I could cry right now from the thought of it, that we let that poor puppy suffer. I sat outside with her until 11:00pm, but had to go in cause I had work the next morning, I didn't want to leave her alone, but didn't have a choice. Jake, our other dog was laying by her in the morning, you could tell he was sad and didn't know why she wouldn't play with him. It was so sad and tearing up just thinking about it. Tim laid her to rest by our other two dogs out by our swing, this way we are close to our pets when we are outside, and it is peaceful to be out by them. Lewy (poodle) passed way about seven years ago, we got him in 1995, and Duchess (chocolate lab) passed away two years ago in June of 2008 and we got her in December of 1997.

Ok, lets get on a happier note....We got another dog, yes we needed to get a playmate for Jake, he wasn't happy, so I started looking for another dog. I was going to get one from the pound, but all they had were small dogs and I wanted something about the same size as Jake or that would would get as big as Jake if it was still a puppy. I went through the paper and found some free dogs and of course called to find out about them and that is how we have come across our new dog Duke/Rex/Dude (we haven't decided on a name yet) we picked him up Friday afternoon, he has some lab in him, but not sure what else he has, but he is a cutie (didn't want another female dog, because we have to put her in an electric fence when it is her two week problem). They play cute together so we are all happy about that.

Ok, now for classes or shall we call them stresses. I think I am just a little bit STRESSED, it is getting close to the end of the semester and graduation (yes I will be walking because I graduated back in December 2009). Some classes I wish would never end because of how fun they are, and others I just can't stand, yes I know bad attitude, but I can't help it! Have a fun final for Instructional Tech. just some research for a power point. The main class that I am stressing about is Survey of Math, I have a test in there tomorrow, and need to study it like it was the last thing I need to know!

SO LET THE STRESSING BEGIN!

Looking back at a good week

Well, time is just slippin away! Seems like everything is flying by like it doesn't plan on stopping, not even for the turtle crossing the road (just duck and pull everything in).

This past week has been a busy week! Don't know when it will stop, maybe in a few years! Working and going to school I think it just might, well I don't want to say it is going to kill me, but it might maim. ha ha, just kiddin, but I sure feel worn out.

Loving the weather, and the fishing! Just wish I had more time to go fishing, seems like my weekends don't have enough hours in the day to go. We cooked fish twice so far, the first time Tim messed up and turned the heat down on the fish fryer, but when we cooked it Friday, boy was it good. Cooked some crappie & catfish with the hush puppies and french fries! YUMMY! With blackberry cobbler with ice cream for dessert.

Getting class schedules figured out, looks like I will be taking a class Summer I, which will have me coming in at 6:45am instead of 7:45am to work to cover at least one hour of the three that I will be out of the office in the afternoon, class is from 1-4 M-TH with no class on Friday! Summer hours are, for those that aren't taking a class, 7:45am to 5:00pm and Fridays from 7:45am to 12:45pm. If you look at it, it will be a looonnnngggg day for me!

Classes are going good, or a least keeping me busy! Girls have bench mark this week, GO GIRLS, YOU CAN DO IT! I know they will do well on the tests (at least I think they will).

My family out west is doing good, wish I lived nearer to them so I could spend more time with them, nieces & nephews are growing up tooo fast!

Ok, that was last week, now for a new week and new adventures!

What a weekend/week!

Miss me??? Wow, I didn't realize how hard it is to get on the computer and blog...

Last week in class we had a special speaker, I say special because she is special to me! Ms. Paula Reaves is like a second mom to me. I worked with her husband Jackie for three years, one of most favorite bosses/supervisors that I have ever had!!!!! He passed away on May 21, 2003, it was a very hard day for me when he passed away, cause he was like a dad to me, and everyone in our department loved him. Ok, back to Ms. Paula, she showed us some awesome things on the Library web page, wish I would have know about it when I did all my papers.

Ok, so we went fishing Friday afternoon, only caught two crappie, and caught more on Saturday morning. When we got home Tim cleaned the fish and I put them up to cook on Sunday afternoon. Watch LDS General Conference, really enjoyed the speakers. Watched 3 out of the 4 sessions. I guess I will have to update a little late tonight or tomorrow.
